Now Is The Time To Fertilize Your Lawn!

If you enjoy having a lush, green lawn, one of the single most important things you can do is to provide it with the essential nutrients it requires to grow healthy. Balanced fertility ensures the lawn will stay green, thick, and healthy. Fertilizing in the fall provides many benefits and is the best way to ensure winter survival and early spring green up.

Summer heat is stressful on our lawns. Fall’s cooler temperatures provide the perfect setting for your lawn to regain strength.

Fall is the best and most important time to fertilize your lawn.  Apply fall lawn fertilizer 2 to 3 weeks before the ground freezes.  More generally, mid-September to late October is a good time to apply lawn fertilizer.  Fertilizing after the ground is frozen is too late and will be of no benefit to the lawn.
