Happy Thanksgiving

In just a few days, Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Yet for many of us, the actual holiday is so full of activity that we have little time for intentional, extended gratitude for all that we have been blessed with.  When you think of Thanksgiving, what images come to mind? Roast turkey? Pumpkin pie? Spending time with your family? Perhaps the sale ads and shopping?  This time of year can seem overwhelming to most of us with the rushing, over-planning, and overindulgence, leaving some of us longing for a more simple Thanksgiving.   As we gather to celebrate our blessings this year, let us look to the people around us, and seek to meet their needs.   This is the perfect opportunity to reconnect, mend broken relationships, and maybe, even build new ones.  Is there a lonely neighbor who could be included at your table? Could you prepare Thanksgiving baskets to deliver to neighbors who have nowhere else to go? How about acts of service? We can rake leaves, send cards, visit, or simply lend a helping hand where needed.  This Thanksgiving we have the opportunity to truly love our family, neighbors and those in our community.  This Thanksgiving, let’s try simple kindness…who knows how far a small act of kindness can go in a sometimes unkind world.

We at Lancaster Lawn & Landscaping, LLC wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
